Decided that since I was going to a new(old) blog I would actually post a few images from lately. One image even combines a quilt I made which is my hobby, with my work which is getting to take lifetime memories for families.

I have decided to get rid of the other blog I had and go back to this free blog since I really don't blog very much.

JANUARY 2009 NEWSLETTER

Happy New Year 2009!

I hope you all enjoyed your time during the holidays with your family, I know I sure did. It was wonderful being able to just be with my kids after several months of craziness. My family and I appreciate all you wonderful clients and I look forward to another year of capturing your children as they change and grow!
Now hold on, I will be spilling out a lot of information below.


New Website
In keeping with the New Year and getting things done, there is a new website for Simply Kids Ocala. It has just gone live and will be the same web address http://www.emailbrain.com/sendlink.asp?HitID=0&StID=18723&SID=1&NID=413226&EmID=33347356&Link=aHR0cDovL3d3dy5zaW1wbHlraWRzb2NhbGEuY29tLw%3D%3D. I listened to what you had to say in order to improve your web experience and did some changes. The biggest will be in your proofing area, you still put in your password (exactly as I send it, as this one needs to be), but your images will be bigger on your screen. In addition to that, as each image comes up in your slideshow you will notice an "ADD TO CART" in the upper right hand corner. At any time during your slideshow or as you are looking at your proofs you can click on that symbol to add your favorites images to your cart. When you are ready to view your cart, there is a cart symbol at the bottom left corner that will take you to your cart. Then you will see your favorite images saved and there is a drop down menu for you to pick your size, style, cards, jewelry etc. on each item. You can even check out with a credit card in paypal or just send the order and take care of payment later with me. Again, listening to suggestions and trying to make it even easier for you. Please note, once you close out the website completely your cart will not be saved.

Re-Order Special

Now until January 31, 2009 you can reorder from any session in 2008 and receive 25% off your entire print order.(jewelry, cards, albums excluded) Starting February 1, 2009 new pricing for sessions and ordering will take effect. The new pricing is already on the website and in the shopping cart, so any orders will be price adjust for the month of January. Please be aware that any sessions from 2008 will not be on the new website, but everyone should have their proofs to use for ordering. If you need me to add an old gallery on to the new website, please email me at simplykidsocala@yahoo.com with your name and month of session date. Please also note that in 2009 proofing galleries will only stay on-line 2 weeks. After that there will be a $25 charge to add the gallery on for an additional week.

Valentine Mini Session

Two days only Valentine Mini Sessions.
Wednesday Jan. 28th morning & afternoon(early release day)
Thursday Jan. 29th morning.

These will be 20 minute mini sessions, close-up, on simple white, with a few valentine props as shown. Also available will be heart-shaped large lollipops and of course you are welcome to bring a few small items yourself(like favorite stuffed animal, or cute for a boy would be a red cowboy hat with the lollipop). Session can be for up to three children together.(but only together images will be taken of siblings no individual.)

The price will be $99(plus tax) and includes your session, online proofing only(no proofs) with 8-10 images to choose from, with your choice of either package.

1 8x10
2 5x7's
2 4x6's
8 wallets
( all can be different images, except wallets)

or

A 10x20 mounted, textured and sprayed panel.



Hippity Hop



This will be a simple session in a grassy field with your child and the baby bunny/bunnies. These images are about your child interacting with the bunny or capturing your child expressions while watching the bunny. These sessions will be limited to 2 days only(Your child must be able to sit up for these sessions).
March 12th morning sessions
March 13th morning and afternoon sessions

The live animals sessions always fill fast, so don't delay book today.



Flower Fields


I know some of you have already asked about flower fields, so if you are interested in flowers, please make sure to send me an email simplykidsocala@yahoo.com. I am not sure of everyone that mentioned during holiday session and I would not want to forget anyone. I will add the names to a list and then more then likely the beginning of April or end of March I will call you with only a few days notice to do the session, so have your oufits ready. I will have some mornings and some afternoons, early evening, just remember this is very limited.


Beach Sessions:



I know many of you have asked and I am still working out the details. Beach Sessions will work a bit different this year, so look for more information next month.

Thought Provoking

I have not edited my kids images from the beach, but just love these thought provoking images. You wonder are they thinking of life, are they wondering what will become of them in this vast world. Now we all know they are just thinking about when they can have a snack and get back in the pool........but it could happen!

Holding Out!

Well, after having to reschedule, like many of you have had to do lately because of our rain, these girls ended up with beautiful weather. Both so mature for their ages 11&9 it was fun, easy session that I hope they enjoyed!

FUN FRIDAY

I have known this family for years and we had fun at the park on Friday. Three kids and they really were awesome and very cooperative, thanks again guys!!!

RAINY AFTERNOON!

WHAT TO DO WITH THE KIDS ON A RAINY SUMMER AFTERNOON WHILE TRYING TO WORK. WELL, SINCE I DON'T HAVE TODDLERS, PAINTING WAS THE ANSWER. WE ARE IN NEED OF A FEW MORE THINGS FOR THE WALLS OF THE REDECORATED ROOMS. SO WITH A BIT OF PAINT, A FEW BRUSHES AND 2 BLANK 16X20 CANVASES THESE ARE THE MASTERPIECES THEY CREATED WHILE MOM WORKED!

Because I promised this little prince that he could see himself soon, here are a few images for you to enjoy with your mommy!

This little tomatoes from my garden have no idea, but very soon they will be turned into, yummy,fresh salsa!

Cool Redo!

So I told my daughter that she could update her room, from the stenciled flowers, dragonflies and bugs, sometime during the Summer. Well that was a few months ago and needless to say it has been Summer. So we painted the walls, bought some teen type art stuff, memory boards etc. Then the furniture, nice real wood furniture, but very old-fashioned. I was going to paint it all, but decided since she has so many pieces it may be to much. So mod-podge is was going to be! With a roll of $3.00 Hallmark wrapping paper, mod-podge and inexpensive knobs from Lowe's her old furniture has a new, fun update. I have only done the desk so far, but you can see the before on the dresser and the after on the desk. Oh and her chair was my Grandmother's and I used a $3.57 can of pink spray paint, what a difference!
