Not Afraid

I have been surprised at how many little ones seem to be afraid of the chicks, but not this 6 month old. Nope he would have stuck him in his pocket if he could have!

Babies....&....Chicks

I just have to say, love this mom who lets me put her 3 month in the grass and a baby chick on his belly. Mr. "T" was just as fun and cooperative as his big sister always is! I love the images of them together, yes she has grass in her face, but that's what make it a "real" image!

SORRY......SKIPPING

ALRIGHT I KNOW I AM SKIPPING PAST A FEW SESSIONS AND WHEN I FINISH THEM I WILL POST SOME OF YOUR KIDDOS WITH THE CHICKS. I JUST WAS MAKING SURE THESE IMAGES WERE ALL HERE AFTER DOWNLOADING TODAY AND JUST HAD TO PICK ONE TO SHARE, THIS GIRL JUST OOZES WITH PERSONALITY.

A FEW MORE

JUST A FEW MORE OF THE ADORABLE MISS "T". I AM SURE EVERYWHERE YOU GO, YOU LIGHT UP A ROOM WITH YOUR HEARTWARMING SMILE AND IT WAS A PLEASURE TO PHOTOGRAPH YOU.

ANOTHER QUILT

ANOTHER CHARITY QUILT, HOPEFULLY TO MAKE SOME LITTLE BOY OR GIRL SMILE THAT LOVES BASEBALL AND MAYBE JUST ISN'T WELL ENOUGH TO PLAY. I ALWAYS MAKE UP SCENARIOS IN MY HEAD ON WHO THEY GO TO BECAUSE I NEVER KNOW WHO MY QUILTS ARE WITH AND WHERE THEY CALL HOME.

Lucky

Lucky, as my kids named him was with us for 5 weeks. I posted a while ago that my husband had knocked two babies squirrels from their nest and the mother did not return. Well, the first one died after only one night, but Lucky kept growing and the weeks kept passing. I would feed him 4-5times a day, everyday and he seemed to be doing well. Our plan was to get him big enough to release back into the wild, about 14-16 weeks and he was going on his 5th week with us. Sadly, Saturday morning when I went to get him out and feed him, he had passed. Not really sure why, but they do say that at about his age they do tend to get seizures for some unknown reason. I know it is crazy, just a squirrel, but truly sad when he had become part of the family and we just wanted him to grow up and live a happy squirrel life. I will leave you with an image of him from 4weeks, his eyes still not opened as they were getting ready to before he passed. We will miss you Lucky!

I'M BACK

What a wonderful time we had in North Carolina. I thought I would share just a few quick images, as I do not have time to edit my own images right now. We took the kids skiing for the first time in Maggie Valley and after a bit of a rough start, everyone caught on and we enjoyed 7 hours of snow filled delight. Weird that it was warm and no snow actually in the mountains, just the man made snow at the ski resort. Photographs are not great, taken with a little point and shoot, but so glad to have one to fit in my pocket or I never would have captured anything at all. Oh and in the photograph of the mountain at night, the steep course to the left, the expert course, yeah my husband took my son up their by accident and there is no way down, but the hill. My son said he was super scared, but eventually he went down it and made it safely, thank Goodness. More to share later as I have emails and phonecalls to return and if you are waiting on proofs, I should have last weeks finished by tomorrow.

Wide Awake Babies

It seems lately that most of my newborn babies have decided that they like to be awake during their sessions. Though the parents will tell you, usually they never stay awake that long on a normal day. That is just how it goes, babies are unpredictable and that is why no two sessions are ever alike. It makes my job fun and challenging, but I know sometimes it can be stressful for sleep deprived parents. Just smile and know that usually by the end they are just so worn out that we can get at least one or two sleepy images, even if it is just a cat nap!

SUNDAY FUN

My two kids, like many others are either good buddies, or picking at each other. This happened to be a good moment, where dad had given them the idea of box boarding. Now of course the logical mom side of me is thinking, "great, somebody is going to knock out a tooth, break an arm or end up bloody". But the fun side of me says, "come on you used to do stuff just like this", they are having fun and sometimes I have to just ignore the logical mom side.

SIGNS OF SPRING

As I sit at my desk working, I keep seeing shadows in the front window. As I peek slowing around the shade, I can see the culprit. A small bird trying to take the twigs out of my wreath I have hanging in the window. Hey birdie, I know that you don't know that these twigs were arranged, glued and cost $39.99! As I watch him come back again and again, I realize everybody has to work hard, even the little birdies.

TRYING SOMETHING DIFFERENT

AS MANY OF YOU KNOW I ENJOY MAKING QUILTS FOR MYSELF, FOR OTHERS, FOR CHARITY. BUT SOMETIMES I FEEL LIKE I GET STUCK AN NEED TO TRY SOMETHING NEW. SOMEHOW FROM SOMEBODY ELSE'S SITE, I STUMBLED UPON THIS SITE http://cinderberrystitches.typepad.com/cinderberrystitches/springberries-free-patter.html
AND IT HAS GIVEN ME NEW INSPIRATION. I AM GOING TO TRY AND START ADDING SOME HAND EMBROIDERY TO MY QUILTS AS WELL. SO I DOWNLOADED THIS WOMAN'S FREE PATTERN FOR A NEEDLE KIT AND BETWEEN LAST NIGHT AND TONIGHT I MADE MY OWN VERSION. NOW I HAVE A DARLING, LITTLE CASE TO HOLD THREADS AND NEEDLES TO WORK ON PROJECTS WHILE I SNUGGLE NEXT TO MY HUBBY AND WATCH A MOVIE. I ALWAYS FIND IT SO MUCH FUN LEARNING SOMETHING NEW.
